Keep Hydrated

As we age our sense of thirst gets weaker so we can no longer rely on ‘feeling thirsty’.  De hydration can lease to:

  • Confusion
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Low blood pressure
  • Constipation
  • Heart Disease
  • Safe Drinking

It is recommended that women drink 1.6 litres of water a day and men 2 litres of water per day.

Remember alcohol is a dehydrating substance as is warm weather so remember to be extra vigilant with your water intake when exposed to alcohol or warm weather.  Your urine should be pale in colour and odourless.
