What is it?
Baby sing-a-long is a session led by an early help 0-10 worker for babies and their parents/carers to spend time singing songs and rhymes as well as sharing stories together.
Who is it for?
Parents/carers and their babies from birth to confident walkers. Siblings can come along too, but our focus on the session will be for babies.
How many sessions are there?
There are sessions every week that you can come along to – please see individual children’s centre programmes or call your local centre for days and times.
How can I access the activity?
By invite or referral only.
What will my child get out of the sessions?
Baby sing-a-long aims to develop your baby’s communication, language, listening and attention skills through sharing stories, nursery rhymes, music and movement and action songs whilst using stimulating resources such as bubbles, parachutes, ribbons and musical instruments.
What will I get out of the sessions?
Parents/carers will learn about the importance of children’s communication and language development through songs and sharing stories. Parents/carers will be given ideas and information on how they can further enhance their child’s development at home.
These sessions are in 5 week blocks, please ring the centre to book on.
