LiveWire Libraries - Books on Prescription
Information taken from the Livewire Libraries website:
Reading Well Books on Prescription is a national scheme which helps people to manage their well-being through self-help reading. The scheme is endorsed by health professionals and supported by public libraries.
As part of a wider treatment plan, GPs or other health professionals can prescribe recommended self-help books. Patients can then take the prescription to a library and borrow or reserve the book. The books are also available for anyone to borrow from their local LiveWire Library.
Further details of the scheme can be found on the Reading Well website.
Becoming a member of LiveWire Libraries is easy, just visit any LiveWire Library or join online. No ID is needed.
Each library has a collection of Books on Prescription and these books can be reserved for FREE.
