The Neuromuscular Centre(NMC)

NMC offers a range of services for people affected by muscular dystrophy. For young people NMC has a powered wheelchair football team – NMC Titans which trains each week and is competing in a Cheshire Wheelchair Football League – new members always welcome.

Training in graphic design, animation, music production and life skills are delivered at NMC by a Tutor. Work placements are available in NMC’s dynamic graphic design enterprise which is run by people with muscular dystrophy using Apple Macs and a range of different software.

During the summer holidays NMC has a variety of Breaks available for young people including accessible Bushcraft and Forestry skills. Accessible sports activities will also take place on specific days – dates for all activities will be provided.

The Duke of Edinburghs Award is also available for young people who have muscular dystrophy.

NMC’s purpose built location in Winsford is fully accessible, has on-site carers to provide support and has an outdoor meadow with wheelchair friendly boardwalk.
