Warrington Youth Club - National Citizen Service (NCS)
National Citizen Service
The National Citizen Service (NCS) is a flagship government programme for young people aged 15 to 17. Offering something for everyone, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to find your identity, take control of your life and channel your energy into making a real difference to society.
Warrington Youth Club has been delivering the government's flagship youth programme, National Citizen Service, for five years. This project for 16 and 17 year olds encourages volunteering and community participation. Young people take part in team-building residentials, skills-based team challenges and complete 30 hours of community volunteering before they are awarded a certificate signed by the Prime Minister at a glamorous Graduation ceremony. More than 400 young people will complete National Citizen Service through Warrington Youth Club in 2016.

Not only is the programme an unbelievable amount of fun, it unites young people from all different backgrounds and by doing this; NCS builds social cohesion, widens social networks and strengthens friendships that already exists.
Recent surveys have shown that employers are now demanding more than just academic results. NCS helps to develop confidence around important attributes such as communication, leadership and team work.
