Home-Start Warrington

Home-Start is a voluntary organisation offering support, friendship and practical help to families with at least one child under the age of five.
Families are visited regularly in their own homes for 3 hours per week, by volunteers who are parents themselves. They have completed the Home-Start course of preparation and have been checked by the disclosure and barring service.

Home-Start is now carrying out some partnership work with Giddy Kidz to promote healthy lifestyles for families. They have offered all families, who are being supported by Home-Start, a reduction in price to enter. We are very grateful for this opportunity and hope our families take advantage of this offer.

Our service offers help and support for parents who are:-

• Lonely and isolated
• Relationship difficulties
• Coping with twins, triplets or several pre-school children
• Ill health, disability or special needs
• Lone parents
• First time parents
• Post natal depression
• Children’s behavioural problems

Home Start Offer

All our families are given the opportunity to take part in the following activities 

• One to one parent volunteer support – in their home following covid risk assessments or outdoors if safer
• Weekly playgroup at The Old School
• School readiness programme
• Weekly outdoor forest school playgroup at The Puddle Project
• Dad Matters support for Dads – one to one support and regular Walk and Talk group sessions. Online antenatal groups for all Dads to be and new Dads.
