Directions

We are a support group for men who are struggling emotionally. They may have anxiety or depression or just don’t feel that they are coping particularly well in their daily lives.

We will meet at least weekly and up to three times per week if demand requires it. We can also provide support over the telephone, by text message or chat through Facebook as well as meeting on a one-to-one basis. Each of our sessions follow a similar model. We will begin with a round of introductions and we will ask men to share what is troubling them and the impact it is having. We will talk through options and try to come up with an action plan to solve that problem or reduce the negative emotions it is causing. Men will then break in to smaller groups to explore their problem in more depth. Finally we will conclude by putting in place a plan to keep themselves safe until the next meeting.

We ultimately want the men to develop a supportive network with other men undertaking activities to maintain their wellbeing following the five ways to wellbeing methodology.
