 Baby Room

The Baby Room is registered for 12 babies between the age of 3 months and 2 years. The children are cared for by fully qualified, experienced staff with a ratio of three children to one member of staff.

The room is home to a variety of equipment and furniture to create a stimulating yet comfortable atmosphere. The room has a variety of sensory play opportunities available for the children to access.

The room is bright with colour co-ordinated furniture and soft furnishings. Within the room is a quiet area with cushions and teddies that the children can cuddle up to.

A separate cot room joins the main room to allow the children to have a peaceful sleep whilst others are playing. There are low level beds available so the toddlers can still have daytime sleeps.

There is also a separate change area to maintain hygiene. This accommodates nappy changing facilities and potties to meet all stages of development.

 Toddler Room

The Toddler Room is registered for 16 children between the ages of 2-3 years. There is a large selection of play opportunities to meet the developmental needs of the children. The children can access the toys and equipment independently whilst being supervised by our qualified and experienced staff. There is a large selection of sensory play. Sand and water play is available each day along with malleable play materials. The room is bright with colour co-ordinated furniture and soft furnishings. Beds are also available children in this room who need a daytime sleep.

 Pre-school Room

The pre-school room accommodates 24 children each session between 3-5 years.

This room has lots of toys for the children to discover and learn in a more formal learning environment, getting the children ready for the transition from nursery to school. The room is designed to have separate areas to accommodate a large range of structured activities. We have a malleable play area, mark making area, small world play area, book corner, role-play area and lots more to stimulate each individual child.

The management team work closely with all nursery staff working with the children to ensure a rich foundation stage is being delivered. All the staff work closely with each other to ensure the best possible outcomes for your children are met.

All of our rooms open onto outdoor play areas. The children can play safely outside on a mixture of soft play and flagged surfaces. We have a large selection of large equipment for the children to use. The decking area is covered with a conservatory roof so the children can access the outdoors but have shelter from the bad weather!

For the summer months we have sun canopies to protect the children from the direct sunshine and for the winter months we have wellies and children’s umbrellas so that the children can experience light showers and splashing in the puddles!

"The nursery is inspirational in the work they carry out with other agencies to support children and families" Ofsted 2018
