Hayward Dance Academy

Founded in 2000 the ‘Hayward Dance Academy’ has grown in reputation and stature with students enjoying success in examinations, national competitions and scholarship schemes run by the ISTD. Students attend weekly classes and acquire the skills required to perform many different dance genres. All students get their chance to take part in specially choreographed ‘Open Day’ events and the Academy’s Annual performances. Whether a child takes up dance classes to build their confidence and gain new friends or for the more serious student who would like to pursue a career in dance and further their education in the performing arts, the ‘Hayward Dance Academy’ is the perfect place to begin!

Classes are specially constructed to suit every age and ability. We hold weekly classes in:

• Ballet ( Cecchetti Method)
• Pointe work
• ISTD Tap
• ISTD Modern Theatre Dance
• Street dance
• Senior Jazz classes
• Stage Struck Stage School ( Singing, Musical Theatre and Drama)
• All teachers and guest artists hold a current enhanced disclosure DBS checks

• Adult Dance and Fitness classes include:
• Adult Ballet classes for Beginners and Improvers
• The revolutionary ‘BARRE’ toned classes combining Yoga, Pilates and Balletic exercises to help strengthen and tone the body. Suitable for all levels of fitness and a great class for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
