Workshops for primary, secondary, special and independent schools

Nugent Education provides a plethora of workshops for all key stages and all types of schools. Workshops are bespoke, so they can and are made suitable for all ages and abilities, including children with disabilities’.

Workshops are provided for schools for:

  • Curriculum enhancement making curriculum areas (art, literacy, dance, drama etc) more interesting and exciting.
  • As an aid to learning
  • PHSE modules
  • Black History Month
  • After school activities
  • School holiday activities
  • Gifted and talented
  • Children with behavioural difficulties
  • Disabled children
  • Engaging disengaged children
  • Transition based workshops
  • NCS team building and NCS community activities

Nugent Education works with schools in various ways, to provide children arts and educational arts workshops that they both enjoy and engage with.

They have used rapping to help improve literacy, urban music production to make the music curriculum more interesting, and drama to cover transition and so on.

The feedback from teachers and head teachers is phenomenal and few organisations offer the breadth of workshops, courses and activities we do.

We offer 1 hour taster sessions, 2 hour workshops and full day workshops. Furthermore, schools can book 4 to 6 week courses. Many schools book us for full day workshops in which we can provide 4 one hour workshops to class sized groups. This is much better value for money.

It takes teachers off timetable, and engages children more than you would have thought possible so why not give it a go?

Workshops for children’s and youth organisations

They also work with:

  • Children’s homes
  • Youth clubs
  • Detention centre’s
  • Youth organisations
  • And any organisation that works with children and young people (teenagers)

We find that urban arts workshops such as graffiti art, rapping and beat boxing, street or break dance, DJ skills and mural art work well with young people. Also, makeup and beauty for teenage girls. For younger children, African drumming and Japanese origami are favourites.

Kids’ Party entertainers

Nugent’s artists also provide fun activities for children’s parties. The kind of things they do have included crafts and dance, rapping and beat boxing, graffiti art and drumming. Whatever the child’s age, they can find an activity that works well.
