The Lily Jo Project

Founded by U.K. based pop singer-songwriter, Lily-Jo,The Lily-Jo Project (www.thelilyjoproject.com) is a platform devoted to eliminating the stigma of mental health through music, digital resources, and community engagement.

Also a qualified counsellor with over 8 year's experience working in the mental health sector, Lily-Jo is passionate about fusing her clinical experience with her career as an artist to educate, inspire, and empower people to live their lives to the fullest. Through the foundation of her award-winning online self-help resource, www.thelilyjoproject.com, we are able to bring hope to people all over the world by providing a library of clinical information, expert advice, and personal stories on a range of topics including depression, anxiety, self-harm, and trauma, among others.

With our love for music at our core, this resource is continuously updated with new stories, artist spotlights, blogs, podcasts, and videos, and we have an active community of contributors who help us cover many specialised topics in mental health and wellbeing.

In addition to this digital experience and online community, The Lily-Jo Project takes its message on the road and out into the world by hosting lessons, workshops, and gigs in schools, workplaces, churches, conferences, and music festivals across the world.

Personally moved by the statistic that 1 in 8 young people in the U.K. struggle with their mental health, throughout 2019 we embarked on our #NeverAlone schools tour where we visited 25 high schools across the U.K. On this tour we stood in front of over 25,000 young people giving lessons, performing gigs, and equipping students with the resources they need to take control of their mental health.

Instilling the message that no one ever has to suffer in silence, we aspire to not only educate young people on how to maintain their mental health, but also inspire them to have hope and excitement for their future.

This year and onwards we are hoping to reach even more young people on our Break Free Tour
